Founded in September 2020, the Data Analytics, Research, & Visualization committee originated from insights gained during Summer Internship experiences and feedback from industry managers, reflecting the increasing importance of data analytics skills.
Our Vision:
DARVIX is a pioneering committee with a vision to establish XLRI as a thought leader in analytics. Through dynamic events, workshops, and collaborations, it empowers students with skills in data analytics and visualization. It fosters a data-driven decision-making culture and promotes the latest tools and techniques.
Our Mission:
DARVIX aims to foster interest in data analytics among the students of XLRI and acts as a liaison with industry experts to understand the latest trends and business relevance of the use of data analytics and visualization across different industries making the students industry-ready.
Our Events:
- Chi-Square - The flagship Analytics event which includes,
- National Analytics Challenge: Provide exposure to real business challenges through corporate collaborations.
- Speaker Sessions: Enhance industry readiness through leader connects and contemporary business challenges, and other competitions.
- Vizary - A unique Intra-college visualization challenge for students to prove their mettle.
- Analytics Bootcamp - Certified hands-on training of Power BI/Tableau and other Business Intelligence/Data Visualisation tools, conducted by 3rd party expert vendors.
- Digitization Drive - Drive the digitization program of the Jharkhand government which includes setting up automated systems and training district officials.
- Gyaan Sessions - Conducting student-led sessions for students to make them proficient in the field of data analytics and help them in their placement processes.
- Annual Analytics Magazine, KONNECT- Publish a magazine that explores data analytics through industry use cases. It comprises interview accounts with Analytics leaders and experts.
