Activities
XLRI aims at the overall development of its students and encourages them to hone their extracurricular skills along with their academics. All activities on campus are organized and managed by the students through various committees. The Students Affair Council (SAC) is the apex body representing the student's body of XLRI. It takes care of all students activities on the campus by coordinating with the various committees formed for special purposes. There are different student committees on campus that deal with the various functional areas of management as well as personality development.

A typical day in XLRI is about mad 200 mile per hour adrenaline rush of case studies, group discussions, fairs, examinations and mythical sports meets. There are conferences, seminars, guest lectures and workshops where a student is exposed to diverse views, opinions and ideas of many of the greatest minds in the world of business.

In this program the students are given an exposure to Indian villages. They are expected to stay study some of the practices and issues relating to rural India.

Industrial visit to local companies
Jamshedpur also know as Tatanagar being an industrial town is home to one of India's largest conglomerates, The Tatas. It contains the plants of many TATA companies like TATA Steel ( one of the world's pioneering steel companies), Tata Motors etc. A trip to the plants of these world class companies exposes the students to the actual factory environment.

Adventure Course - Outbound Training
A three-day team building programme is compulsory for the students. The objective of the programme is to develop leadership and teamwork through adventure activities. The programme includes overnight camping and other outdoor activities.
Celebrations On Campus
All the rich traditions of various parts of India are celebrated with much fan-fare in the campus. Faculty, Students and Staff come together to celebrate national festivals like Diwali, Holi, Dandiya (the traditional dance festival is celebrated during the Navratri celebrations) etc. Besides these, the institute regularly hosts XLRI Institution Dinner where the XLRI faculty-student family comes together for informal get-togethers.
