All India Essay Writing Competition
General Topic: Ethics, Business and Society
What is the relevance of ethics for common living? How does ethics affect our society? Can a business driven by moral values and vision be sustainable? What is the role of ethics in society and in business? Responding to those significant questions, a postor competition is being planned for students, who will be the future citizens of India.
The larger framework of this competition is to explore the significance of ethics in the society at large and in the business world in particular. So, you are requested to choose one specific topic which you are convinced of and demonstrate it using charts, diagrams and minimum of text. Choose one particular area, find arguments for or against and come to a reasoned and deliberate opinion. Some of the sub-topics you can argue for or against are the following:
- Role of ethics in character building
- Ethics is purely subjective!
- There cannot be an objective ethics.
- Ethics fosters collective identity
- Topics of your own choice (related to ethics and society)
Workshop
An online workshop, which will be helpful for the final essay, will be conducted for those who register before Dec 10, 2022. In order to register, send an email with your full name, bio details, educational background and contact address to [email protected]
Instructions
- Take any one specific point to prove in the poster. Try to be focused and specific.
- Demonstrate your argument persuasively, bringing out logically consistently reasons or premises.
- You may use charts, diagrams, pointers, quotes and maps creatively.
- Indicate connections, relations between various elements in the poster.
- Have sections of Introduction, Main Contents, Conclusion, References, About the Author (including name, email id and photo), etc.
- Use text minimally and creatively.
- The decision of the organizing committee is final.
- Final instructions and conditions will be found on the website.
- If you are participating in the essay writing competition, you cannot draw poster on the same theme.
- Open only to students.

Last date for submission of the essay: August 8, 2023
Last Date for submitting draft December 23, 2022 for feedback and comments.
Announcement of the Prices: August 15, 2023
Prize Money: ₹ 42,000
Each Participation certificates will be given to deserving participants.
