Fees:There is an application fee that varies depending on the number of programs applied for.
XAT Examination
Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT):The primary entrance exam for XLRI Jamshedpur is the XAT, conducted by XLRI. This is a national-level management entrance test.
Syllabus: The XAT tests candidates on Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, and General Knowledge.
Exam Date:The XAT is usually held in the first week of January. Ensure you check the official XAT website for the exact date and details.
Registration:Candidates must register for the XAT exam separately through the XAT official website.

Shortlisting Criteria:Based on the XAT scores, academic performance, and work experience, candidates are shortlisted for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.
Criteria Considered: Factors include XAT percentile, past academic records, and relevant work experience.
Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI)
Group Discussion:The GD assesses candidates’ ability to articulate their thoughts, work in a team, and handle group dynamics.
Personal Interview: The PI evaluates candidates’ suitability for the program based on their academic background, professional experience, and career aspirations.
Locations:GD and PI are conducted in multiple cities across India.
Final Selection
Evaluation Criteria:The final selection is based on a combination of the XAT score, performance in the GD and PI, academic background, and work experience.
Selection Matrix: Typically, the XAT score holds significant weight, but the final decision considers all aspects of a candidate’s profile.
