Power of Sun

The solar panels installed at XLRI generates 320KW of solar energy, amounting to 14.5 per cent of the total power consumption on the B-school campus. The installation was done by Mumbai's Clean Max Solar.

Total power generated till 21 Nov 2018: 28.5 MWh (Mega Watt-hours)

Modules: RenewSys DESERV 3M6
Inverter: Delta RPI 50A
Total CO2 saved so far: 2.56 Tonnes
Peak daily generation in last 30 days: 168 kWh (Kilo Watt hours)
Peak daily CO2 saved: 15.1 Kg (equivalent to planting 4 trees daily)

This is part of XLRI’s initiative to be a carbon-neutral campus.

Solar photo-voltaic (PV) panels (made of polycrystalline modules) have been installed on the roofs of 10 buildings in XLRI campus.
