XLRI PGDM (GM) to Host Annual Operation and Supply Chain Conclave "CLOCKSPEED 1.0"

XLRI PGDM(GM) in association with the Association of Supply Chain Professionals INDIA (ASCP) is all set to host its annual flagship Operations and Supply Chain Conclave "CLOCKSPEED 1.0" on January 30, 2021, on Virtual mode. The theme for the conclave is Future-Proofing Supply Chains through Technology and Inclusion.  

Mr Amitava Bakshi, Chief Procurement Officer, Tata Steel and the President of the Association of Supply Chain Professionals; Mr. Matheen Sait, Supply Chain Manager - Logistics, 3M;  Mr. Subrata Basak, Chief Logistics Officer,  Tata Steel BSL; Prof. Edward Sweeney, Professor of Logistics and Systems, Head, Department of Engineering Systems & Supply Chain Management (ESSCM), College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at Aston University, UK will be the key speakers at  Operations and Supply Chain Conclave. Fr. P. Christie, S. J. Director of XLRI - Xavier School of Management will deliver the inaugural address.  

As part of the "CLOCKSPEED 1.0" Supply Chain Conclave, the National Finale of Supply Chain Case Competition concluded on 17th January. Mr. Victor Cheng - the world-renowned management consulting expert, inaugurated the supply chain case competition Clockspeed 1.0, the biggest national level supply chain case competition in India received an unprecedented 1688 entries from students and working professionals across India. For the first time, XLRI Jamshedpur collaborated with Jubilant Foodworks and allowed students to work on a live case involving the Jubilant Foodworks supply chain.

The National Finale of Supply Chain Case Competition featured the 12 best teams presenting their solutions to a high-octane jury in a live virtual setting. The winning teams will get an opportunity to present their solutions to an illustrious industry panel comprising CEOs and CXOs of the top international companies attending the Clockspeed 1.0 Conclave. Team U-NITIE from NITIE Mumbai emerged as the winner of the Supply Chain Case Competition.

Jury member Mr. Manohar Raghavan, Area Leader, Asia Pacific, Commercial Solutions Division, 3M describing Clockspeed 1.0 as a 'testament to the power of young innovation,' said, "I was really impressed with how students incorporated technology, in-depth analysis, and research to demonstrate that supply chains of the future could be more diverse and inclusive."

The jury also included Mr. Kaustav Sen, Partner, Business Consulting, KPMG expressed admiration for the "insightful presentations with in-depth and thorough research on supply chain technology (which) made the event very engaging and enriching for the jury members". Mr. Subrata Basak, Chief Logistics Officer at Tata Steel BSL and Mr. Avinash Kant Kumar, Executive Vice President - Supply Chain & Quality/Regulatory Affairs, Jubilant Foodworks said, "The presentations made and the solutions offered in the Finale were of the highest quality and will certainly, help us in taking our Supply Chain to the next level."
