XLRI hosts Xhaust 2020

A virtual Marathon for XL family

SportsCom the umbrella body for all Sports activities at XLRI recently hosted Xhaust 2020 - A virtual marathon held on 13th December. Participants took part in a 3K, 5K, or 10K run from two given time slots 7:00 AM or 6:00 PM as per their preference. Over 100 Students, Staff and faculty, participated in the run.

Participants were required to install the "Pacer" application on their mobile phones to track the run and to share the details of the run from the app within 10 minutes of finishing the run. Participants joined in all run categories.

Top performers among men were Yash Naiknavare (Mumbai) and Pranav Bhatt (Nainital). Among women, Rucha Kalekar (Pune) and Chandini Gunaparthi (Bengaluru). While Yash and Pranav belonged to the Human Resources and Business Management stream, Rucha is a Business Management student, and Chandni is pursuing Human Resources Management.

Fr. P. Christie S.J., Director, XLRI - Xavier School of Management congratulated the performers. He said,” XLRI has been promoting fitness culture through its various sporting events. The virtual marathon Xhaust 2020 had made our XL community start working out again through an external nudge and keep the XL sporting culture alive. The current pandemic has altered the course of our lives. Xhaust 2020 was aimed to get things kick-started right from our homes, so we are fit and ready when the time comes to get back to campus and resume classroom sessions”.
