Poster Competition 2023-24

Topics: Scams, Scandals, Ethics and Integrity

How do scams and scandals in our society reflect the need for ethics and integrity? How do scams and scandals affect the common people? What can we do about them? What are the ethical and moral demands on our soicety, given the increasing cases of scandals, scams and corruption?

The larger framework of this competition is to explore the significance of ethics in the society at large and in the business world in particular. So, you are requested to choose one specific topic which you are convinced of and argue for it. Do not remain at the general or descriptive level. Choose one particular area, find arguments for and against and come to a reasoned and deliberate opinion. More details can be found at www.kuru.in/topics

Choose one particular area, find arguments for or against and come to a reasoned and deliberate opinion. Some of the sub-topics you can argue for or against are the following:

Workshop

An online workshop, which will be helpful for making the poster, will be conducted for those who register before Dec 10, 2022. In order to register for the workshop, send an email with your full name, bio details, educational backaround and contact address to jrdtf@xlri.ac.in.

Instructions

  • Take any one specific point to prove in the poster. Try to be focused and specific.
  • Demonstrate your argument persuasively, bringing out logically consistently reasons or premises.
  • You may use charts, diagrams, pointers, quotes and maps creatively.
  • Indicate connections, relations between various elements in the poster.
  • Have sections of Introduction, Main Contents, Conclusion, References, About the Author (including name, email id and photo), etc.
  • Use text minimally and creatively.
  • The decision of the organizing committee is final.

  • Final instructions and conditions will be found on the website.
  • If you are participating in the essay writing competition, you cannot draw poster on the same theme.
  • Open only to students.

Last date for submission of the poster: July 15, 2024

Last Date for submitting draft December 23, 2023 for feedback and comments.
