Eligibility
Candidates applying for the Executive Postgraduate Programme must hold a minimum of three years Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in India/Abroad, in any discipline, be employed in full time job, must have at least two years of relevant managerial experience in an organization of repute in the public, private or non-governmental sector after completing graduation.
Admission Process
Each year XLRI/AIT invites application for admission to its programmes through advertisements in the major newspapers and other media in the country. The candidates who are interested in the programme may contact Executive PGP office, Jamshedpur ( xpgp@xlri.ac.in) or AIT Dubai (abbatech@ait.ae)
XLRI’s admission test will be held in U.A.E. on a specified date. Candidates who are successful in the written test are called for selection interviews. Successful candidates who are selected after the interview are admitted to the programme.
Classrooms and other facilities
The institute (AIT), has adequate classrooms of different seating capacities with white boards, overhead projectors and pull-down screens. To enhance the presentation of lectures, seminars and other academic exercises, it has a good audio visual set up with Overhead projectors, LCD projectors, LCD panels and sound systems for the use of faculty and students. Two separate computer labs are available with multi-media facilities for classroom presentations and for computer classes. Closed circuit television facility will be available for recording and playback of exercises. A library of books, videotapes and filmstrips is also being set up. In addition to the above, an auditorium with state-of-art audiovisual facilities is available for seminars, conferences etc.
Library
AIT is in the process of establishing a comprehensive resource centre for management studies and research. The proposed library will eventually have a collection of over 10,000 books including national and international periodicals, electronic journals, CD-ROMs, Video cassettes, annual reports and projects/dissertation reports. To provide current awareness services, the library will be computerized and include internet library, virtual information service, indexing, bibliographic, and reprographic services.
